Cardoness Lodge offers the discerning traveller a friendly haven in beautiful surroundings where you can unwind and rediscover the simple pleasures of life while enjoying the delights of Hawkes Bay. Perfectly situated within its private grounds of 32 acres in the Heart of the wine growing area, you can enjoy the luxury of some well earned quiet time in this spectacular, yet unspoilt, area, while indulging yourself with tastings and fine dining at the renowned wineries in our area.
Environmentally friendly
We are always concerned about our environment and try to follow policy to reduce waste and pollution.
At Cardoness Lodge we recycle all that we can in the form of paper, plastic and bottles. Food waste goes into the compost or our chickens who produce tasty, free-range eggs every day.
We have a productive vegetable garden and for items we don’t produce ourselves, we support our local growers.
The best part of the vineyard
Over our 32 acre spread there are 250 olive trees and over 144,000 vines. The olive trees make the most tasty olives of which some we preserve but the bulk is pressed for the oil and is available at the lodge. From the vines we get the most delightful Syrah and Chardonnay which you are more than welcome to taste at our Cellar Door.
